Who I (Discovered) I Am

The past 8 months have been a grand rediscovery of who I am. No longer confined by my past faith, I have really started “putting life together” and painting a new picture of what defines me. Here’s a bit of who I really am:

I am a liberal.

I am a humanist.

I am a secularist.

I am good without God.

I am a believer in beauty.

I am a truth-seeker.

I am an Obama fan.

I am a friend.

I am a conversationist.

I am a LGBT supporter.

much more important and much more powerful

You see, you don’t know how much people need God. You don’t know how happy He can make them. He can make them happy to do anything. Make them happy to die, and they’ll die, all for the sake of Christ. Jesus Christ. Jesus of Nazareth. The Son of God. The Messiah. Not you. Not for your sake. You know, I’m glad I met you. Because now I can forget all about you. My Jesus is much more important and much more powerful.

Tonight, I am deeply saddened that Jesus failed.

I miss my powerful Jesus, but I can’t forget all about the historical one.
